I AM OF VALUE
For many people who grew up in stable homes, a mantra was planted early. Then it was communicated through encouragement, protection, affection, and consistency. Without realizing it, the lesson was “I am of Value”.
For those who survived difficult or traumatic childhoods, however, the opposite message took root. Painful experiences convince children that they are not important, not worthy, or not enough. As adults, those struggles often continue. They may feel invisible, constantly driven to prove themselves, and trapped in a cycle of imposter syndrome and self-doubt.
The narrative NEEDS to change.
In stead of spending years searching for ways earn or prove “I am of Value”, the pursuit of achievements, titles, income, status, or popularity, hoping these accomplishments will never heal the wound of feeling worthless. But external success can never permanently satisfy an internal belief that was formed long ago.
The promotion feels good for a moment. The praise lasts for a day. The accomplishment creates temporary relief. Then the old question returns: “Do I really matter?”
The answer is not found in proving your value. It is found in recognizing that your value already exists. Being valuable means being persistent not perfect. There would not be a need to manage everything, fix everyone, and unnecessarily sacrificing yourself. It simply means embracing a new narrative where “I am of Value.
Your value is not determined by your past, nor is it defined by other people's labels, opinions, or expectations. Your worth is not based on your performance, your mistakes, or your achievements. It comes from who you are, not merely what you do.
“I am of Value”.
It is reflected in the kindness, strength you, LOVE, and the fact that your existence matters.
The take away:
Be kind. Be brave. Step outside your comfort zone. Challenge the old story, and embrace the truth:
I am of value.
